‘Tokyo Memory Reconstruction’ is an AI-powered editorial, a speculative fashion archive, an imagined extension of Tokyo’s street style. It draws inspiration from what I witnessed in real life but couldn’t capture with a digital camera.

The project began after my solo trip to Tokyo, where every passerby felt like a character —
bold, experimental, avant-garde. I wanted to capture this kaleidoscope of self-expressions,
but also to stay in the moment. The tension of a missed opportunity is what drives this work.

The images showcase the city’s authentic streetstyle with fleeting, cinematic impressions, as if pieced together from half-remembered dreams. I reconstruct the strangers as dreamlike figures: fantastical, stylish, alien.

Inspired by the slow-shutter blur of city lights, the series unfolds as fleeting visions — fashion-forward silhouettes, embellished nails, exaggerated eyelashes, impossible textures — suspended between reality, memory, and fiction.
